World's Tallest Water Coaster Set to Open at New Record-Breaking Waterpark Soon

Another thrilling amusement park is set to break world records when it opens in Saudi Arabia soon.
Located next to the brand new Six Flags Qiddiya City — about 40 minutes outside the country’s capital city of Riyadh – Aquarabia is the first water theme park in the country and will boast the world’s largest water coaster.
According to the park’s website, the Junoon Drop will be the “world’s tallest and longest water coaster” with “gravity-defying thrills.”
The ride is described as starting with an “exhilarating uphill blast,” followed by navigating “dark and light turns, a mega drop, and a twisting flume with dazzling AquaLucent stripes, ending in a high-banking 180-degree turn.”
Along with the Junoon Drop, the Slithereel ride is set to be “the world’s longest rotating slide wheel” that “combines the excitement of a ferris wheel with a water slide.”
Other record-breaking attractions include the Speedy Jamezales, which will boast the “world’s tallest Aqualoop” made out of translucent fiberglass. The layout will offer “an exciting ride for both thrill-seekers and spectators alike,” per the park’s website.
Last but not least, riders can experience even more thrills on the Jamal Joom, which is expected to hold the title of the “world’s longest mat blaster.”
According to a November 2025 press release, the upcoming water theme park will have a total of 22 rides and attractions, eight themed areas and Saudi Arabia’s first surf pool, Surftopia.
While the park’s website still says to “stay tuned” for ticket information and the park’s exact opening date, local outlet Saudi Gazette reported the park will open in March 2026, according to Qiddiya Investment Company’s managing director, Abdullah Al-Dawood.
“Six Flags is open. After Eid al-Fitr, we will open Aquarabia. Every three months, each year, something new will open, gradually shaping the city,” Al-Dawood reportedly said on the television program, Fi Alsurah “In the Picture,” and noted the opening would happen around the Eid al-Fitr holidays.
However, a spokesperson for Qiddiya Investment Company told PEOPLE on Feb. 2, "At this time, there has been no official announcement confirming a specific opening date for Aquarabia."
They added, "We’re excited about the interest surrounding the park, and encourage guests and media to stay tuned to our official channels for the latest updates and announcements as they become available."

Aquarabia’s upcoming debut comes just a few months after Six Flags Qiddiya City had its grand opening on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
The new amusement park is home to five record-breaking attractions, including the highly anticipated Falcons Flight. The ride — the world’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster — is considered the park’s “signature attraction,” according to its website.
