Woman left in shock at where husband places air fryer, Internet divided

A woman was left baffled by her husband's decision on where to put their air fryer—and the internet has strong opinions.
In a viral TikTok video, the woman takes viewers on a full tour of her kitchen, revealing plenty of open counter space. But the grand finale? The air fryer, which her husband placed, was awkwardly wedged into a strip of counter between the stove and the refrigerator. Since it was posted, the video has received 1.4 million views and over 140,000 likes. It has also sparked a fierce debate about appliance placement and the eternal mystery of why some husbands do what they do.
"How he decided that was the best place for the air fryer is beyond me," the creator captioned the video. "So many better places for it, in my opinion."

Viewers immediately weighed in, and the results were divisive.
Some defended the husband's choice, reasoning that the placement made sense in its own way. One commenter tried to decode his logic: "Wanna be out of way. Tuck big thing into corner. Stay out of way, wife happy and can continue to do what she needs without me interfering. Might get a 'good job,' feels good. Best way I can summarise the thinking process," they wrote.
Another TikToker agreed, calling the setup logical: "Seems like a logical place to me. How would you better use that awkward space?" Someone else added, "I think that makes most sense actually. It's a stationary device and that's not a great nook to work with, keeps the other counters free...I don't like agreeing but i simply must here."
But for others, the choice was downright chaotic.
One person compared it to their own household struggle with their husband.
"Reminds me of when my husband hung a five-inch wide picture frame onto a two-inch wide divider between two windows," they wrote.
Erring on the side of bad placement, many were concerned with the functionality and safety of the air fryer being wedged next to the stove.
"Are y'all okay? Having that appliance practically on top of the stove top is insane and makes it 10x harder to keep clean. There's an entire counter full of space," one person pointed out.
"It may 'fit' but now those burners are difficult to use!" another wrote. "Can't use a frying pan. No place for a spoon rest. And I don't think they recommend air fryers that close because the heat can shatter glass."
Summing up the collective confusion, one commenter wrote: "Like, I get the vision, But...there's many more practical places."
The debate rages on, but one thing is clear—where you put your air fryer might just be the ultimate test of logic and marriage compatibility.
