The 2025 PGA Tour is well underway, and this weekend's event will be held at one of the more prestigious courses: Torrey Pines.
Torrey Pines will host the 2025 Genesis Invitational; however, Tiger Woods, arguably the greatest golfer of all time, will no longer participate after committing to the field.
This comes due to still mourning the loss of his mother, Kultida Woods.
Tiger shared in a statement via social media.
"I planned to tee it up this week, but I'm just not ready," Woods said in a statement. "I did my best to prepare, knowing it's what my Mom would have wanted, but I'm still processing her loss. Thanks to everyone who has reached out. I hope to be at Torrey later in the week and appreciate the continued kindness since my Mom's passing."
Woods was set to tee it up in his first non-major championship since last year's Genesis Invitational.
