WWE has announced that the 2025 Royal Rumble, held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, has set multiple records, making it the most successful and highest-grossing Royal Rumble in company history.
The event generated the largest gate for any single-night event in WWE history, with 70,342 fans in attendance. This places it just behind *WrestleMania 40* (Saturday and Sunday) for the largest single-night gate ever.
Royal Rumble 2025 also set an all-time viewership record, with domestic numbers up nearly 14% compared to last year's record-breaking audience. International viewership saw an even bigger increase, as the event was broadcast globally on Netflix.
Merchandise sales soared more than 95% over last year, making this Royal Rumble the highest-grossing non-WrestleMania event of all time. Sponsorship revenue also saw a significant boost, rising 94% compared to 2024, with 14 partners involved and every match being sponsored.

Social media engagement reached new heights, with the event setting a record for the most social video views in Royal Rumble history.
WWE Superstar Bron Breakker's spear on popular streamer IShowSpeed became the most-viewed Royal Rumble social post of all time, generating more than 300 million views in less than 24 hours.
The 2025 Royal Rumble was also historic for being the first Premium Live Event held in Indianapolis as part of a new partnership between WWE and Indiana Sports Corp. This agreement will bring WWE's three largest stadium events—WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble—to the city in the coming years.
Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso emerged victorious in their respective Royal Rumble matches, earning world title opportunities at WrestleMania.
At the post-show press conference, Paul "Triple H" Levesque revealed just how significant the event had been, stating, "Tonight was the highest-grossing Rumble in history, but more than that it was the third-largest gate in WWE history, and for a single-night event, it was the largest gate WWE has ever done. We had 70,347 people in attendance tonight, just incredible in every other way."
"The only event that has beaten tonight is last year's WrestleMania, WrestleMania 40, the Sunday night and the Saturday night, but other than that, this has beaten every other record we have ever had. We had people from all 50 states and 48 countries from around the world, that is a lot of people coming into the city, so I hope we delivered back on that partnership that I spoke about earlier to the city, and the people here, and did the best we could for them."
Despite some slight discrepancies in the official numbers, with a graphic reading 65,470 attendees during the press conference broadcast, Levesque confirmed that Royal Rumble 2025 had set new records across the board, from merchandise and sponsorship to viewership and attendance.
