Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock Reunite for Romance Thriller

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock famously helped catapult each other's careers in the 1994 action thriller "Speed". They reunited in 2006 for the romantic drama "The Lake House". Now, almost two decades later, the pair are once more working together in a so far untitled romantic thriller for Amazon MGM Studios.

In fact, one of the producers of the untitled thriller, Mark Gordon, was also a producer on "Speed", making the affair a genuine "Speed" reunion.
There are no plot details available, but The Hollywood Reporter - who first reported on the film - says the film is being described as "propulsive."
The script is being written by Noah Oppenheim, who is better known for writing the 2016 biopic "Jackie", as well as the co-creator of the Robert De Niro-led political thriller series "Zero Day" on Netflix.
"Speed" is one of the most well-remembered action movies of the 1990s and helped both Bullock and Reeves skyrocket through the ranks of Hollywood. Often categorized as "'Die Hard' on a bus," the film has Reeves, Bullock, and a cast of innocent civilians trapped on a bombed city bus. The bus is wired to go off if the bus speed drops below 50 miles per hour. Reeves plays the heroic cop while Bullock is just another passenger who is forced to drive the bus after the driver is injured.
Their next collaboration, "The Lake House", was quite a bit different. When Dr. Kate Forster (Bullock) leaves a letter in the mailbox of her beloved lake house, the letter is somehow discovered by architect Alex Wyler (Reeves) two years earlier. This way, Kate and Alex begin a correspondence that defies time, and soon they fall in love.
While we don't know when you'll be able to see the untitled Amazon MGM thriller, Keanu Reeves soon stars in a documentary about the "John Wick" franchise, "Wick Is Pain". The doc is available on digital on May 9 and tells the story of how "John Wick" barely survived as a single indie movie to become its own popular cinematic universe. In spite of his character seemingly dying in "John Wick: Chapter 4", Reeves is confirmed to return along with director Chad Stahelski for "John Wick: Chapter 5".
