Internet stunned by woman's six foot height—then her little sister walks in
A recent TikTok video left the internet in awe after a woman revealed her six-foot height—only for her younger sister to walk in even taller.
The clip, which showed Loki Honan, 23, addressing her height, began with her saying, "A lot of you have been asking how tall I am. I am almost six foot tall, which you all think is so ginormous." As she finished her sentence, she introduced her younger sister, who towers over her in height. Honan spoke to Newsweek about her unique experience being the shortest of three exceptionally tall sisters.
"This is our application for tall gal TikTok, can we guess how tall my sister...is?" Honan wrote in the caption. "You all think I'm tall, but I'm tiny in my family."
The comments section quickly exploded, with people expressing their shock at the towering trio.
Honan, who lives in Australia, told Newsweek where her siblings' height comes from. Her mother is 5'10" and her father is 6'1", which still still pales in comparison to Honan's youngest sister, 15-year-old Maddison, who is already 6'3".
Honan's middle sister, 21-year-old Flick, can be seen in her viral video and is 6'2".
Honan reflected on how the sisters' height has always turned heads.
"When we were growing up we went on family cruises, everywhere we went we had people taking photos with us all because they couldn't believe how tall we were so young," Honan said. "I was honestly 5'10" in year seven or eight, and the same with my sisters."
She said it's been surprising to see people online comment on her height, given that she's always been the smallest in the family.
"It's been pretty wild to see how the internet has reacted to our height, because honestly growing up, whenever the three of us girls were together I always felt short," she said. "Flick always felt like a twin because we were the same height till she overtook me when I was 12."
While being tall as a child might come with the expectation of negative comments or bullying, Honan fondly recalled their childhood experiences with their single mother.
"It was definitely interesting walking around together us four girls, always so much taller than every other family as a family of women," she said. "It was very inspiring to grow up around. My mother is an extremely strong woman, hence why we all are."
But Honan also shared that their childhoods weren't without struggle for being different.
" have all experienced bullying first hand when it comes to being 'the biggest' in your class at school," she said. Despite this, though she encourages other women and girls to embrace their height. "Being a tall woman is powerful and something to be proud of, so we want others to feel the same. I'll be making sure my kids are raised to be proud of it, just like our mother did."
