A Simple Favor 2 announces new title and release date

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick will return to the big screen this year as Emily and Stephanie in Another Simple Favor, the sequel to Paul Feig's 2018 film A Simple Favor.
In the first instalment, Lively and Kendrick starred as two mothers caught in a mystery, and now they'll return for the next chapter of the story.
Another Simple Favor has been years in the making, with the sequel first announced in the spring of 2022. Still, the cast and crew didn't get on set until 2024, a detail which was revealed when behind-the-scenes images leaked from the set in April.
Now we're just a matter of weeks from uncovering the mystery of what that means because Feig took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to reveal that Another Simple Favor will have its world premiere at this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 7, where it'll be the festival's opening night film.
What is Another Simple Favor About?
Details have been kept tightly under wraps since the sequel was first announced in 2022, but IMDb's official synopsis for the film tells us it:
Follows Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson as they head to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily's extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman.
This explains the leaked images from set, where Lively was photographed aboard a boat with co-star Michele Morrone, the two swept up in what appeared to be a wedding scene.
When is Another Simple Favor Out?
Following its world premiere at the SXSW Festival in March 2025, the film will land on Prime Video on May 1. Whether there will be a theatrical run for the film is yet to be announced.
